SERVICE.--Duty in the Defenses of Washington, DC, until April, 1863.  Ordered to Norfolk, VA, April 18.  Siege of Norfolk April 21-May 4.  Dix's Peninsula Campaign June 23-July 8.  Ordered to Washington, DC, July 8, and duty in the defenses of that city until August.  At New York City, Department of the East, until September 12, and at Light Artillery Camp of Instruction, Defenses of Washington, until February, 1864.  Ordered to Dept. of the Gulf, and at New Orleans, LA, until March 2.  Ordered to Franklin March 2.  Red River Campaign March 10-May 22.  Advance from Franklin to Alexandria, LA, March 15-26.  Battles of Sabine Cross Roads, April 8 and Pleasant Hill, April 9 (Reserve).  At Grand Ecore April 10-22.  Cane River Crossing April 23.  At Alexandria, April 26-May 13.   Retreat to Morganza, May 13-20.  At Morganza until October 16.  Ordered to mouth of White River and duty there and at Morganza until December.  Ordered to Arkansas December 11.  Duty at mouth of White River and at Little Rock, AR, until June, 1865.  Mustered out June 23, and discharged from service July 5, 1865.

Battery lost 6 by disease during service.
